I am a grateful believer in Jesus Christ. I believe the greatest work any man or woman will ever do is within the walls of their own home. I am proud to be an American. I am proud of our heritage, where we come from, how we got here today. The United States of America is the greatest country on the face of the planet. The future is bright. We should all stand tall and have a positive view of where we can take this great state.
ISSUES
I believe in the Founding Fathers' vision of a limited government. I am a fiscal conservative. To reduce government you have to cut even when it is painful. I am prepared to endure whatever pain we need to make positive changes in Austin.
My Voice on the State Budget Deficit
We have a majority in the House, a majority in the Senate, and a Republican as Governor. This is a wonderful opportunity. Texas has always been the model for a smooth running and efficient government, but we still have room for improvement.
Of all the things that are important to us, what is more important than the rising generation? The future of our communities and state belong to our children. In order for them to compete and reach their full potential they need better education. Parents need more control and more choices.
I believe we should secure the border. Everyone who comes to our state to work should be legal, registered and pay their taxes. The immigration process needs to be simplified and modernized to speed up the process for those who come seeking their dreams and wanting to live lives based on self-reliance and merit.
